Police said they received a report alleging that there was misconduct involving the Theatre of the Arts teacher at Morehead High School.
EDEN, N.C. — Rockingham County Schools issued a statement following the arrest of a teacher facing indecent liberties charges. In the statement, the district said 24-year-old Jesse Michael Morris is on administrative leave and that it’s taking the situation seriously.
RCS sent this statement after Morris’ arrest
“Upon learning of the allegations and consistent with State law, RCS took immediate and appropriate action by placing Mr. Morris on administrative leave. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation to ensure our schools remain a safe environment for all students and staff.
