TAMU men’s hoops shows need for improvement vs. Houston [Video]

HOUSTON — The first glimpse of the 2024-25 Texas A&M men’s basketball team came against a high-caliber opponent, but showed there’s need for improvement before the Aggies officially tip off their season at Central Florida on Nov. 4.

A&M, ranked 13th in the preseason AP poll, dropped a 79-64 charity exhibition game to preseason No. 4 Houston on Sunday afternoon at the Fertitta Center. Game proceeds benefitted the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund, which assists those affected by the storm that made landfall along the Texas coast in July. It’s been reported that A&M lost a closed scrimmage to Baylor last weekend.
