WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Students at a Westerville elementary school were evacuated Tuesday morning after a suspicious package was found at the building.
The Westerville Division of Police told 10TV that they were investigating a suspicious package that was found at the entrance of Robert Frost Elementary School at 270 North Spring Road.
In an email to parents, Principal Angela Hayes said students who were in the building were relocated to the Westerville Community United Church of Christ. Those who arrived by bus are being held on their buses.
Hayes said the actions were taken as a precautionary measure. You can read the initial email from the elementary school below.
Around 10:25 a.m., the principal sent another email to parents saying that the evacuation was lifted. Hayes said the suspicious package was determined to not be a threat.
