CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The College of Charleston has issued a warning to the campus community of suspects still at large connected to two off-campus armed robberies.
The warning states at approximately 1:10 a.m. Sunday two unknown male subjects, both described being armed with handguns, robbed victims at two separate locations in the area between Pitt and Coming Streets.
The suspects then entered a vehicle and fled east on Calhoun Street out of the campus area, according to the release.
The Charleston Police Department confirms one robbery happened near the corner of Pitt and Montagu Streets and the other happened near the corner of Duncan and Coming Streets.
Charleston Police Sgt. Terry Cherry says the robberies are believed to be connected and their department is investigating.
The college is asking anyone with information to dial 911.
