WINONA Min. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Winona Police Department says it is investigating after a man was shot early this morning at around 4:20 am. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment building near Winona State University. They found a man who had been shot and took him to the hospital for treatment. Winona Police say he is currently in critical condition.
Another man at the apartment was taken into custody as part of the investigation. Winona police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
