A recent survey by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) has revealed key insights into the digital habits of young Hungarians. The study, conducted with over 1,000 participants, aimed to understand the usage of mobile platforms and social media, with a particular focus on screen time and app preferences.
TikTok and YouTube emerged as the top platforms for teenagers. TikTok was especially dominant among girls aged 16-19, who spent 37% of their screen time on the app. For boys, YouTube was more popular, accounting for 19% of their screen time, compared to 15% on TikTok.
The survey highlighted a generational divide, with younger users (16-24 years old) gravitating towards TikTok, while those aged 25-35 favored Facebook.
