Sunset Beach street parking pricing announced [Video]

The once-free Sunset Beach side street parking will now carry a price tag.

TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. — Sunset Beach street parking will now charge by the hour as part of a Treasure Island program to encourage visitors to use lot parking.

Effective Monday, July 29, side-street parking at Sunset Beach in Treasure Island will no longer be free, according to a news release. The new fees apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Here are the details of the cost and locations of the charged parking spaces:

Side-street parking will now cost $5 per hour through the ParkMobile app.
City parking lots cost $3.75 per hour and will be charged through the ParkMobile app.
Residents can purchase up to two annual Treasure Island City parking passes for $45 each. The requirements for the yearly passes have not changed and can be found in the parking brochure here.
