Sunny and cooler Monday and throughout week: Portland metro weather [Video]

The burp of rain Sunday set the stage for a cooler – and very pleasant – week in the Portland metro area.

Monday will top out at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the National Weather Service says. The day will be sunny and clear with very little breeze. The low overnight will be around 53.

It will warm up a little from there, with Tuesday and Wednesday expected to see highs of 84 and lows in the mid-50s. Again, the weather prognosticators say lots of sun and barely a cloud in the sky.

Thursday’s high likely will dip a bit, back to 80, but still all sun all the time, the National Weather Service says.

The workweek will close out with a high around 83 and a low about 55.

The weekend will prep us for an expected return to hot weather next week. Saturday is supposed to reach 84 and Sunday …
