BEREA, Ohio — The party at McKelvey Park in Berea Commons was aptly named, as the summer afternoon heat sizzled while children played under refreshing fountains at the splash pad.
Generations Senior Living hosted the free Summer Community Sizzler Thursday (Aug. 1), in collaboration with the Berea Chamber of Commerce and Berea Animal Rescue Friends (ARF).
From hotdogs to hot dogs, there was food, fun, music and games for people of all ages.
ARF volunteer Kristen Welsh walked Bella Jane among the crowd, letting the sweet, 6-year-old mixed breed canine enjoy kindness and cuddles from the animal lovers in attendance.
Chelsea, a 9-month-old Jack Russell terrier mix with an adorable doggie smile, soaked up the love as well.
