Suga of BTS Apologizes for Riding Electric Scooter Under the Influence [Video]

Suga is apologizing after getting his license suspended and fined for riding an electric scooter while intoxicated.

The BTS member, 31, shared in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday, Aug. 7 that he drank some alcohol while out to dinner on Tuesday night and then “went home on an electric scooter” — violating “traffic laws” in South Korea. 

“Because I had been drinking, I did not realize that using an electric scooter after drinking was against the law, and violated the road traffic laws,” he wrote, adding that he was “heavy hearted” and “sorry” after the incident.

The singer said that he “fell” in front of his home “while trying to park the electric scooter” and a nearby police officer performed a “breathalyzer test” on him before he “suspended my license and a fine was imposed.”
