We’re told they were trying to serve an arrest warrant when a subject barricaded themselves inside a camper in the driveway.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — Authorities say a subject involved in a large-scale search warrant operation in Owensboro Tuesday has been taken to the hospital with self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Just before 1 p.m., the Owensboro Police Department sent an alert, informing community members of the operation.

According to OPD, this was an ongoing joint operation with the DEA and the IRS.

Currently, police say they’re near the area of Southtown Boulevard and Farmview Drive, where someone has barricaded themselves inside a building.
