Student hackathon tackles climate change in Mississauga [Video]

A hackathon event will encourage students to find solutions for climate change issues in Mississauga.

The City of Mississauga, in partnership with Go Open Data, host a student hackathon called The Sky’s the Limit: Innovative Rooftop Strategies for a Greener Planet on Nov. 26.

This one-day event challenges students to develop innovative solutions to climate change issues and challenges using technology. There will be cash prizes for individual participants and/or teams that finish in the top three places.

Students of all skill levels, from high school, college or university are welcome to participate. Those interested can register as individuals or teams of four to five people. All submissions will be judged, and a winner will be announced at the end of the event.
