Student Athlete of the Week: Taylor Starkey [Video]

WATERFORD, Ohio (WTAP) – Taylor Starkey is a senior runner for the cross country and track teams as well as a manager for the girl’s basketball team at Waterford high school. Her favorite part of being involved in athletics isn’t the glory or even the love of the game- it’s having the opportunity to serve her community.

“In my experience of being a student athlete, I like to take like more of like a leadership and service role in my community. So,in Waterford, being an athlete is like the fundamentals of going to Waterford High School. Everyone who goes to my school is basically an athlete.
