STORM Eowyn has been named as Ireland prepares for the wicked weather to make landfall and experts track the “worrying” forecast.

Storm Eowyn was officially named by the UK Met Office this morning after Met Eireann confirmed it is “monitoring the evolving situation” and will issue weather warnings as “confidence in the forecast” improves.
They said: “On Thursday night and during Friday, a deepening Low-Pressure system is forecast to track close to Ireland.
“Very strong winds are likely across the country with the potential for damaging wind gusts and disruption in places. High seas and spells of heavy rain are expected also.”
