Stephen N. Castle has served on the Midland College Board of Trustees since 2006.
MIDLAND, Texas — Stephen N. Castle announced his retirement from the Midland College (MC) Board of Trustees on Tuesday, according to a news release from Midland College media relations, Karisa Danley.
Castle arrived in Midland as a fist grader, he then established a career in the oil fields of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. He formally worked for Mobil, Tom Brown Inc., and Hanley Petroleum Inc.
He also chaired the Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association, presided over the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, and founded Cowboys Resources in 1998.
Castle has served as a member of the board since 2006, totaling 18 years. During his term, MC saw its largest enrollment increase since 2011.
