GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Experts are weighing in on how you can keep your family safe at crowded events following the vehicular attack on pedestrians in New Orleans.

Unfortunately, it’s the times we live in. But experts say if you’re at a large event such as a parade, sporting event or concert, have a conversation with your group or family about what you’d do if there’s an emergency.

That means talking about and answering questions such as what is our exit strategy and looking for possible ways to escape.

Discuss where to meet if your group gets separated.

Having that mentality can help you take action quicker if there’s an emergency.

If you’re visiting an unfamiliar area, look up the nearest hospital ahead of time. Experts say it can make a life-saving difference.
