LEXINGTON (25News Now) – One suspect is injured and Interstate exits into Lexington are closed as Illinois State Police investigate a “shooting incident.”
State Police said the incident happened at a gas station earlier Thursday.
There is no threat to the public and the public should seek alternate routes.
Barricades have been set up at county highways 8 and 23, about half a mile away from the Casey’s.
State Police said the road will remain closed “for quite a while longer.”
Lexington schools were put on a soft lockdown earlier, for a short period.
