Starpoint school district addresses community after superintendent’s crash, DWI arrest [Video]

The letter — signed by Starpoint board of education president Jeffrey Duncan — said “members of our school community to high standards, and we expect our leadership to reflect the same values.”

The Starpoint superintendent, Sean M. Croft, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Aug. 31 in West Seneca. Police said the vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage, and the airbags deployed.

Croft failed several field sobriety tests, police said, and showed a positive result on a roadside breath test. He received appearance tickets and was charged with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, and imprudent speed.

Here’s what Duncan said in Friday’s letter to the community:
