Starlight Parade float showcases Paralympians headed to Paris [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A group of Paralympic athletes and organizers put the finishing touches on their beautiful Starlight Parade float Friday ahead of the parade on Saturday.

The float will feature Paralympians and athletes from Adaptive Sports Northwest showing their pathway to Paris in partnership with Comcast Xfinity.

About 100 floats will illuminate the streets of Downtown Portland on Saturday during the Starlight Parade.

“We are just very excited about being able to showcase and just bring awareness to these athletes,” said Leslie Pfau, the senior marketing manager for Comcast Xfinity for the Northwest.

The photos on the float feature both Olympic and Paralympic athletes, with everyone getting very excited about the games taking place in Paris this summer.
