MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – St. Mary Catholic School held their Oktoberfest to raise money for their school.
The Oktoberfest Committee originally planned for a Fall Festival. When the date fell on the last weekend in October, they decided to have an Oktoberfest instead.
Tammi Bradley, the Marketing Director for St. Mary Catholic School, said the event was enjoyable for everyone.
The event featured a German themed dinner, a kids’ zone, a beer garden, and a vendors’ market. The vendors’ market featured local businesses who sold items like cutting boards and homemade bread.
Tammi said the event would not have been possible without the community’s help.
All of the funds generated from the event went towards the school’s “General School Fund”.
