St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce to host Rock Manufacturing Day STEAM Experience | Education [Video]

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The St. Joseph, Missouri, Chamber of Commerce is coordinating a Manufacturing Day and working toward hosting an Economic Development Summit this week. 

The Manufacturing Day event is described by the Chamber as “a national day set aside to recognize the importance of the manufacturing industry and the diverse, highly-skilled jobs that are available in our community. Held in October of each year, company officials open their doors to high school students to display and discuss their industry and the possible career paths that are available.”

According to the Chamber, locally, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, about 500 students will be divided into groups and will tour at least one of the following companies: Van-Am Tool and Engineering, Altec Industries, Inc., Summit Truck Bodies, BlueScope Buildings North America, Albaugh, LLC, Gray Manufacturing Co., Inc., Snorkel International, …
