Springville city leaders say proposed development project would add jobs, increase housing options [Video]

SPRINGVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) – Springville city leaders on Friday announced a new proposed development project that they say will create job opportunities and increase housing options.

In a release, city leaders said Dubuque-based developer Jim Conlan would lead the development project on 279 acres of land.

The concept and design plan includes single family residential, condo/multifamily, 55 and over community, education, a sports complex and commercial/retail space.

A meeting is planned to discuss the project at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Springville Council Chambers.

The land that’s part of this proposed development is near where the Iowa DOT is expected to begin working a new interchange at Highway 151 and Linn County Road X-20.
