Spokane Humane Society launches giving trees at local businesses to support animals [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Humane Society has partnered with local businesses to install Giving Trees in support of its animals.

The organization has set up four Giving Trees throughout Spokane, where community members can make donations to help support the Humane Society’s animals. The trees are located at Swing Lounge (downtown), Maryhill Winery Kendall Yards, BARK, a Rescue Pub and Northpointe PetSmart. They will remain up until Jan. 3.

Each tree is decorated with gift tags that range from single-item donations, such as cat litter and dog toys, to monetary gifts and shelter animal “Christmas Wish Lists.” Community members are encouraged to select a gift tag and make their donation, returning any item donations to the tree’s location.
