Spokane business owners and shoppers celebrate Small Business Saturday [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – Small Business Saturday drew a large crowd in Spokane, sparking both spending and community spirit across the Inland Northwest.

“As a small business filled with small businesses, it’s great we have our own day,” said Jordan Mitch, owner of The Small Biz Shoppe.

The shop hosts 130 small businesses, offering a variety of crafts and jewelry. Many shoppers took advantage of the day to support local businesses.

“I don’t really set a budget. I splurge to help the community,” said Tobias Justice, a shopper. “I’ve already spent $150—just another $50 at most.”

According to American Express, for every dollar spent at a small business, approximately 68 cents is reinvested into the local economy, highlighting the impact of supporting local entrepreneurs.

“We look forward to this… it brings in so many people… local business downtown,” said Wyatt Watkins, owner of Boo Radley’s.
