Spenard Song Circle has been around since 2017. This all-ages event lets folks enjoy some of the local acts and lets up-and-coming artists get their name out there. Even I participated in one.
It’s held at Red City Vintage off Spenard and 34th Ave. and hosted by Emma Hill.
Spenard Song Circle showcases all types of musicians, allowing artists to not only perform but also give a sneak peek behind their musical process.
She shared, “So the audience is getting to know them better. We’re getting to know each other better. I don’t know, it just kind of creates a little bit of magic.”
But times have been tough and the future seems uncertain.
“I can’t afford to host this anywhere else. So I’m trying to envision a future for this series,” she said.
