South Sioux City school district hosts final Cardinal Vision meeting to discuss future plans in the district [Video]

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) – Tuesday night, members of the South Sioux City school district met for the final ‘Cardinal Vision’ community meeting to discuss future developments in the district.

One objective is to increase student capacity in all of the district’s schools. At Tuesday night’s meeting, community members got four options to choose from and they marked options that they wanted to see move forward, and they marked the one’s they didn’t. Each option came with different options and price points.

Ultimately, community members chose option CV4 to move forward, which has a $127 million price tag.

The plan includes the construction of three new facilities in the district. The buildings would include a new intermediate building for 5th and 6th graders, a new building to replace Covington and Lewis and Clark Elementary Schools, and a new building to replace E.N. Swett Preschool.
