Rocky Creek residents claim the house is known for illegally selling alcohol by the drink and has long been a source of trouble.
MACON, Ga. — Over an hour after Christmas night passed, neighbors in a south Macon community called 911 about a shooting at a residence known as a “shot house.”
“It seems that the quiet of a Christmas holiday was shattered by gunfire,” Sheriff David Davis said in a press conference Thursday afternoon.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said three victims were taken to Macon hospitals by first responders, while four others took personal vehicles.
One person was killed, another remains in critical condition and five others were injured in the mass shooting.
The deceased was identified as Jawasiki Deuventa Guyton.
A “shot house” is an establishment where alcohol is illegally sold by the drink.
