South Dakota Mines celebrates the exciting return of the Rocker Days parade | Lifestyle [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines, an engineering, science and technology university in the heart of Rapid City, held its first homecoming parade since 2015 on Saturday, September 21.

The parade is one of the last events of Rocker Days, the week-long homecoming celebration at South Dakota Mines.

The community was very involved in today’s parade. There were floats from Liv Hospitality and Omnitech just to name a few. The finale of the parade was a performance by the Central High School Marching Band.

Having the parade back means a lot to the community, alumni and families of students. South Dakota Mines Alumn Gene Wadleigh was there with his family to celebrate three generations of Mines students in the family.
