South central Nebraska coach facing felony for alleged student relationship [Video]

FRANKLIN, Neb. (KSNB) – A south central Nebraska high school football coach is wanted for a felony charge of 1st-degree sexual abuse by a school employee.

On Wednesday, a judge issued an arrest warrant for Franklin football coach and paraeducator, 37-year-old Anthony Campana.

According to court documents, the victim’s father contacted the Franklin County Emergency Communication Center on Monday, reporting that his 16-year-old daughter had a “much older” boyfriend, and the two were planning to meet him at his workplace.

A deputy arrived 16 minutes later, and the father directed him to a car behind the building, where the couple was found, per those documents. Those go on to state the deputy identified Campana as the passenger and had both him and the girl exit the vehicle. The girl told the deputy that she and Campana were in love and had been talking since she was 14.
