Pastors from across Milwaukee want to make sure people exercise their right to vote in this election. Volunteers like Kathie Walker canvassed several Milwaukee neighborhoods, stressing the importance of voting. “Your great-great-grandparents fought to even get a vote,” Walker said. Walker is taking an important stroll Saturday. She’s going door to door at homes near 85th Street and Villard Avenue, leaving voter paperwork. Some neighborhoods she’s visited more than once. “Some people said ‘we already got this;’ we going to give and give it, until you get it,” Walker said. People who got a flyer and voter paperwork are pleased, knowing others want to make sure people have no barriers to exercising their right to vote. “I think that’s fantastic.
