Sorority to hold back-to-school bash in Fairfield [Video]

FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WIAT) — The Upsilon Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is partnering with United Way of Central Alabama to host a “back-to-school bash” for children in the community.

The event will take place at the Fairfield Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 3. It will feature a school supply giveaway, free haircuts, door prizes, games, free food, fun activities and giveaways for families.

“We have been around for over 115 years, so providing service to our community by way of Fairfield for Upsilon Eta Omega is so important to us,” said Bianca Moore, president of the AKA Upsilon Eta Omega Chapter. “We love it, and we can’t wait to see the families.”
