Here’s how a softball team helped bring Christmas back to a family who almost lost everything.
ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Just days before Christmas, Robert Neese’s family lost almost everything in a house fire.
“I’m a single dad raising two kids and three days before Christmas, we have nothing,” Neese said.
Now, the community is rallying to support the Neese family during the holiday season.
One of Neese’s children, Madison, is a member of the Southern Alamance softball team.
After head coach Jon Russell heard about the fire, he didn’t hesitate. He helped his team give a holiday miracle to the Neese family.
Within 48 hours, the team raised enough money to shop, wrap, and deliver gifts to the Neese family.
