Snapchat leads to student being arrested in Flagler [Video]

A Flagler County teen was arrested after allegedly sending the Snapchat.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A 16-year-old was arrested after sending a Snapchat reading, “I forgot to use setting spray I’m gonna shoot up the school,” the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

On Friday, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Federal Bureau of Investigations that they had received a tip of a possible school shooting threat, based off the Snapchat.

The sender was identified as a 16-year-old student at Flagler Palm Coast High School, who will not be named here because of her age. 

The school resource deputy at the school at the high school was notified and found the student. They ensured there were no weapons on campus, police said.

The student was arrested and charged for written/electronic threats to kill or bodily harm another person.
