Smiles from a Cowboy: Remembering Bernard ‘Bird Dog’ Daniels [Video]

In Oconee County, a Westminster man is dead after an overnight house fire. The Oconee County Coroner said 69-year-old Bernard Daniels died in his home on Retreat Street.According to the Oconee County Fire Department, the call was reported at 2:30 a.m. on Friday. Officials confirmed the cause of the fire was ruled undetermined. Daniels’ family said what is left of the home is a very sore sight to gaze upon, especially the blue chair that sits in the front yard. Daniels’ sister, Mimi Daniels, said he would sit in the chair, smile and wave to everyone who passed by. Surprisingly, the chair survived the fire.
