FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Saturday Sloan Museum of Discovery held a book fair for grownups!
Local booksellers R & B Books, Scholastic Books, and other vendors were selling new and used books Saturday evening.
It was the perfect opportunity to buy a new book to start, or bring an old book to finish, and even find a gift for yourself or someone else.
There was also a cash bar with food, drinks, and snacks available for purchase.
Organizers say the event was a success.
“It has completely blown us away we were expecting maybe 50 to 100 people and we’ve had more than 500 through the door,” said Sloan Museum Manager of Special Events Olivia Kushuba. “I know it means a lot to our book vendors to have so much great community support and I love that we can be a gathering place for the community.
