ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Barri Hanna has more responses from recruiters and potential employers than she can handle.

She receives emails from corporate recruiters with strange names. They are eager to interview her and hire her for a job.

But none of them are real.

Hanna regrets uploading her resume when she applied for a job on a free website. She looked for work on Indeed, Monster and Career Builder. Hanna has 15 years of experience in the customer service industry and would like to find a job working from home, but nearly every response is a scam. She’s tired of it.

“I got all of these emails, like, about 30 in a row, and it sort of scared me,” Hanna said. “It’s hard because I have to sift through each one of those emails to figure out which one is legitimate.”
