CHENEY, Wash. — Cheney police are searching for a suspect accused of violating a domestic violence protection order. He was last seen without a shirt or shoes.
According to a press release from the Cheney Police Department, officers responded to a residence on University Lane after receiving reports that the suspect, who has a history of violating protection orders, was at a location he was legally prohibited from entering.
When officers arrived, the suspect fled through a window before they could enter the home. Cheney police, along with Spokane County deputies, established a perimeter and deployed a K-9 unit and drones in an attempt to locate him. However, the suspect escaped and remains at large.
Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 30s. Authorities urge anyone who sees him in the Cheney area to call 911.
