SHERWOOD Ore. (KPTV) – The Sherwood Police Department is celebrating “Hallo-week” with a game of hide and seek.
Their “Hide and Seek with a Cop” event will take place on Oct. 30 at Stella Olsen Memorial Park.
Sherwood police officers will begin the game hidden, then will attempt to tag participants as they run through the park.
Officers will be in full uniform and armed.
Police said the game is an opportunity for the community to engage with local officers while they are in full uniform.
“Often people get nervous when the police show up to their house or to a store or pull them over. And so community events really change the setting in which they can talk to us and to know us,” said Officer Paul Mattson III.
