BELMONT, N.Y. — It’s not uncommon to find a puppy at a local animal shelter, except in this case, it left the staff stumped.
An 8-week-old puppy was found by staff in a plastic tote outside the SPCA Serving Allegany County around 7:45 a.m. Thursday. The full social media post is found below.
“Upon opening the tote lid, it was obvious this poor little puppy girl was very scared, confused and shaking,” the SPCA said on social media.
Now the SPCA Serving Allegany County is attempting to find any information on the person who left the puppy in the tote at its front door. Anyone with information is urged to call 585-593-2200 ext. 2. You can also call the cruelty hotline at any time at 585-268-9600.
