Shelby County Commissioner Erika Sugarmon says an investigation into contracts and Title one funding with MSCS board could soon be at the forefront next month
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The newly appointed interim superintendent of Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS), Dr. Roderick Richmond addressed members of the community, as well as MSCS students and teachers, to discuss his leadership and plans for the district on Friday, Jan. 24.
The leadership transition has put many educators in a gray space according to Memphis-Shelby County Education, Dr. Anntriniece Napper about the sentiments of teachers regarding their new leader. Napper emphasized the uncertain feelings among educators but also stressed their commitment to doing what’s best for the students, regardless of leadership changes.
