At today’s Consumer Electronics Show 2025 in Las Vegas, we learned that Xumo will take the helm as the operating system for Sharp’s new line of QLED TVs set to launch next spring.
Sharp is the fourth company to link itself to Xumo’s OS train, including Pioneer, Hisense, and the budget-friendlier, Element. Lately, Xumo hasn’t enjoyed high visibility on the market. Perhaps Sharp’s adoption of the tech could change that.

Xumo is the product of a joint venture between Comcast and Charter to create a streaming platform with an intuitive interface and voice-command navigation. That’s nothing especially new, but Sharp is confident in its decision to move forward with the platform, which has been evolving over the past 14 years.
According to Stephanie Cassi, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Xumo, the company took aim at the challenge of maximizing content discoverability.
