Secretary Rick Siger of the Department of Community and Economic Development announced that five million dollars will be invested into 11 events across the state.
PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has announced an investment of five million dollars into 11 sporting events throughout the Commonwealth.
The announcement was made Monday by DCED Secretary Rick Siger. The investment is part of the DCED’s SportsMarketing and Tourism Program (SMAT). This program was designed to bring more professional and amateur sporting events into the state and is expected to bring an estimated $240.2 million into Pa.’s economy.
