Several bike lovers beat Santa to the punch at this gift drop-off in Peoria [Video]

PEORIA (25News Now) – Many motorcyclists from Walters Brothers Harley-Davidson dropped off Christmas gifts for kids at the Toys for Tots drive at the Northwoods Mall.

This annual event normally includes a motorcycle ride, but the toys were delivered by trucks and trailers Thursday due to the weather.

Walter Brothers Harley-Davidson marketing manager, Stann Wiebler said around 1,700 toys were delivered, and the group has delivered 60,000 toys since they began collecting them in 1988.

“It’s a big variety, we go out, and we buy toys at local toy stores,” said Wiebler. “People bring in all kinds of toys. We had bikes and legos, just about every toy you can think of.”

Wiebler said he’s grateful to be part of this, as his family and a friend began this tradition nearly 40 years ago.
