The Sesostris Shrine is hosting its 20th annual Sportsman’s Raffle on Oct. 19 to raise funds for services benefiting children at Shriners Healthcare facilities.

Founded in 1922, Shriners Healthcare has grown to include 21 hospitals across North America, with locations in Canada and Mexico. In addition to their hospitals, they operate outreach and screening clinics. To date, Shriners has provided care for 1.5 million children with various health conditions, regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Past Potentate Drew Borske, a beneficiary of Shriners Healthcare, shared his personal story.“I was born with the lower right portion of my right arm missing, so I received excellent healthcare for 19 years,” Borske said.
