DALE CO., Ala. (WTVY) – News4 and All In Credit Union continue to highlight teachers going above and beyond for their students.
One teacher at Dale County High School is doing just that.
News4′s September Teacher of the Month is Andrea Thompson.
Inside the walls of Dale County High School is a classroom like no other — Mrs. T’s classroom.
“It all comes from getting to know students. That’s my first priority: building that positive relationship with them,” Thompson said.
Thompson makes learning fun and engaging for her students.
One of her students, Harmony Jones, said she feels motivated to learn.
“I feel like when I walked in the classroom for my first day, I was nervous, but she has a different vibe. It’s very homey, it makes you feel comfortable,” Jones said.
Thompson said though, this is more than just a classroom, it’s a place to build character.
