MDisability welcomed Kristi L. Kirschner, MD, clinical professor in the Department of Medical Education (DME) at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM). Dr. Kirschner spoke about the University of Illinois’s journey to incorporate disability curriculum in the College of Medicine at MDisability’s September 2024 meeting.
Dr. Kirschner holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation and is also the director of undergraduate education for DME as well as the subtheme leader for Health Humanities and ethics curriculum for the UICOM.
MDisability is a collaborative family medicine program based at the University of Michigan focused on improving the primary care of people with disabilities through medical education, research, clinical care, and community partnerships.
