Sensor.Graphics Considers the Future of AI Without AI – Motion design [Video]

Sensor.Graphics, the new US-based motion studio who recently made a splash with this short film, follows up with a thoughtful peek at what neural networks might look like rendered as a kinetic art installation.

From Sensor.Graphics: “In this short film, we reflected on how AI is learning to understand and navigate the three-dimensions of the physical world. AI models are presented as installations placed into rooms, and their abstract representation is based on the structure and algorithms of data processing within neural structures.

“Taking AI out of the black box and embodying it, we highlight the beauty of neural connections that bring about thinking and reveal how information is constantly flowing around us.

“Produced in collaboration with researchers from the Oxford Internet Institute, the project did not include the use any AI tools – it was created using procedural 3D animations in Houdini.”
