Senior center in W.R celebrates veterans at Vetsgiving Event [Video]

The Phoenix at Lake Joy Senior Living Community hosted their annual event to thank veterans for their service and continue to give back to the community.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Ahead of Veterans Day, one group in Warner Robins wants to celebrate all those who served.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Phoenix at Lake Joy Senior Living Community will be hosting its annual Vetsgiving Event.

The event is for any active or retired veteran and their families. Phoenix holds it every year to give back to the community and thank the veterans for their service.

This is the first year that the event will be hosted at the Phoenix, which Michell Sluka, the Community Engagement Director, hopes will allow more people to attend.

The event will have live entertainment, door prizes and several local groups specializing in hospice care, health care and various other volunteer groups.
