‘Seems like false advertising,’ fume Walmart shoppers of store’s new price tags – it’ll require ‘shopping with Sharpies’ [Video]

WALMART shoppers have slammed its new digital price tags, with one person going so far as to call it a scam.

With fears of price surging circulating on social media, one person recommended double-checking your receipt to avoid being overcharged.

“This is in fact current practice with many retailers; it’s best to shop with a sharpie and write down the listed price of each item placed in your cart to protect yourself from this scam,” one shopper wrote on X, (formerly known as Twitter.)

There have been many shoppers with similar concerns after the retailer announced it would be adding digital labels to 1,400 of its 2,300 stores.

These new labels would replace paper price tags, as a means to help improve efficiency and manage prices.
