NORFOLK, Va. — A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting on E. Virginia Beach Boulevard in August that left another man dead, according to a press release from the Norfolk Police Department (NPD).
Around 11:50 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2024, police were called to the 5100 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old John E. Daughtry III of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he died as a result of his injuries.
